Professor Huo Yong is President of World Chinese Cardiovascular Physician Association, President of Asia Society of Cardiology, and Immediate President of Chinese Society of Cardiology. As a leader in CVD in China, Prof. Huo Yong promoted the popularization, standardization and development of PCI technology in China, and gained the recognized achievements and reputation. He made outstanding contributions to national CVD prevention, especially in innovative H type hypertension and stroke prevention, integrate acute myocardial infarction care system and chest pain center construction, which is taking the leading position in the world. Prof. Huo is in charge of nationwide CVD quality control, specialist training and certification system construction. He led to several national standards as well as more than 20 guidelines and consensus of CVD. He is also the PI of many "11th Five-Year", "12th Five-Year", "13th Five-Year" nation-funding projects, and had 152 leading peer-reviewed publications such as JAMA and 68 academic monographs.
