Dr. Hong Liang now serves as the Chairman of Institutional Business Committee of Huatai Securities. Dr. Liang was formerly the Director of the Institute of Innovation and Industry Studies of Hillhouse Capital Management. Before that, Dr. Liang worked at China International Capital Corporation (CICC) as a member of the firm’s Management Committee, the Head of Research, Chief Economist, Co-head of Sales and Trading, and Head of Capital Markets. In addition, Dr. Liang used to be the Chief China Economist, Managing Director, Co-head of Asia-Pacific Economic Research at Goldman Sachs; and economist at the International Monetary Fund. Dr. Liang graduated from Peking University and held a PhD degree in Economics from Georgetown University.
